REASONS FOR DECISION

[1] These applications were lodged on 14 May 2001 by the Community and Public Sector Union (State Public Services Federation Tasmania) to vary, the Community and Health Services (Public Sector) Award, the General Conditions of Employment Award, the Police Departmental Employees Award and the Sea Fisheries Award to adjust a range of expense related allowances in accordance with the Consumer Price Index.

[2] I approve these applications as they do not offend the requirements of Section 36 of the Act relating to matters of public interest nor the Wage Fixing Principles.

[3] These consent variations are to take effect from the beginning of the first full pay period on or after 22 June 2001.
