Award variation - variation of award - consent matter - application granted - award varied - operative date ffpp 12 October 2001 REASONS FOR DECISION [1] On 24 September 2001, an application was lodged by The Association of Professional Engineers, Scientists and Managers, Australia pursuant to s.23 of the Industrial Relations Act 1984, to vary the Professional Engineers and Scientists (Private Industry) Award. [2] This application seeks to vary Clause 2 - Vehicle Allowance of Part IV - Allowances, and Clause 3 - Bereavement Leave, of Part VI - Leave and Holidays With Pay. [3] When the matter came on for hearing on 12 October 2001, Mr J O'Neill appeared for the Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Limited (TCCI) and Mr D Pyrke appeared for The Association of Professional Engineers, Scientists and Managers, Australia. [4] This consent application was supported by both parties. [5] The award will be varied in the manner set out in the draft Order attached, with the operative effect from the first full pay period to commence on or after 12 October 2001.
