RECORD OF OUTCOME OF APPLICATION [1] On 3 May 2002, Tony John Sutton applied pursuant to s.29(1A) of the Industrial Relations Act 1984 for a hearing in respect of an industrial dispute with Joinery Products Sales Pty Ltd arising out of the alleged unfair termination of his employment and severance pay in respect of termination of employment as a result of redundancy. [2] A hearing commenced at `Lyndhurst', 448 Elizabeth Street, North Hobart, Tasmania on Friday 24 May 2002 at 10.30 am. [3] At the hearing Ms L Wall sought and was granted leave to appear on behalf of the applicant. Mr M Daly also sought and was granted leave to appear on behalf of Mr C Kelly and Mr M Kelly of Joinery Products Sales. [4] After hearing preliminary submissions associated with the application, the hearing was adjourned into conference with the Commission in an attempt to settle the dispute. Following the conference, it was recorded that the parties had reached a settlement. [5] On 12 August 2002 Mr C Webster wrote to the Commission to advise that the matter had been settled. [6] In view of the above and pursuant to the provisions of Section 21(2)(c) of the Act, the matter is discontinued, the application is dismissed and the file is closed.
