[2] When this matter came on for hearing on 18 December 2002, Mr P Tullgren appeared for the union. Ms J Thomas appeared for the Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Limited (TCCI). [3] This application is a consequence of the conference process that flowed from 11 July 2002 State wage decision.1 [4] Mr Tullgren explained that the application sought to increase the rate for Veterinary Nurse, first year, up to $431.30 in two instalments, six months apart. [5] The application also sought to include a Minimum Wage clause, to take effect at the conclusion of the phase-in period. [6] Ms Thomas advised that the TCCI consented to the application. [7] I am satisfied that the application is consistent with both the Wage Fixing Principles and public interest requirements of the Act. [8] The award will be varied effective from the beginning of the first full pay period to commence on or after 18 December 2002, subject to the phase-in arrangements referred to above. [9] The Order reflecting these variations is attached.
