TASMANIAN INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION

Industrial Relations Act 1984
s63 application for registration

Tasmanian Union of Professional and Clerical Officers in Education
(TR475 of 2002)

ACTING REGISTRAR A.T. MAHONEY

HOBART, 5 March 2003

Registration as an organisation of employees - registration granted with effect from 5 March 2003

REASONS FOR DECISION

This application for registration as an organisation of employees was lodged by the Tasmanian Union of Professional and Clerical Officers in Education (TUPCOE) on 4 December 2002.

The TUPCOE was seeking registration to enable it to enter into an industrial agreement.

Having regard to the submissions of Mr C. Lane, at a hearing convened on 19 February 2003, I am satisfied that the application for registration by the TUPCOE complies with the requirements specified in the Industrial Relations Act 1984.

The application is granted and the Tasmanian Union of Professional and Clerical Officers in Education is registered as an organisation.

A certificate of registration will be issued pursuant to Section 64(1).
