Industrial agreement - agreement approved - operative ffpp 1 April 2004 until 31 March 2007 - forwarded to Registrar for registration REASONS FOR DECISION [1] This application, lodged pursuant to s.55 of the Industrial Relations Act 1984 by the Australian Liquor, Hospitality and Miscellaneous Workers Union - Tasmanian Branch (the Union) and the Cascade Brewery Company Pty Ltd, trading as the Cascade Beverage Company of South Hobart (the Company), for the filing of an industrial agreement. [2] The matter came before the Commission at the Commonwealth Law Courts, 39-41 Davey Street, Hobart, Tasmania on 22 June 2004. [3] The agreement, to be operative from the first full pay period to commence on or after 1 April 2004, and known as the Cascade Beverages Enterprise Agreement 2004, is to remain in force until 31 March 2007. [4] Mr P Tullgren for and on behalf of the Union and Ms D Reynolds for and on behalf of the Company, presented submissions in support of the application. [5] Having considered the submissions of the parties, I am satisfied the agreement should be approved as there was no evidence to suggest the agreement was inconsistent with s.36 of the Act, and I decide accordingly. [6] The file will now be referred to the Registrar in accordance with the requirements of s.56(1) of the Act.
