COMMISSIONER JP McALPINE

HOBART, 29 November 2003

Variation of registered agreement T11132 of 2003 - operative ffpp 1 October 2004 - forwarded to Registrar for registration

REASONS FOR DECISION

[1] This application was lodged by The Working Women's Centre of Tasmania Inc. and the Australian Municipal, Administrative, Clerical and Services Union, pursuant to Section 59 of the Industrial Relations Act 1984, for a variation to The Working Women's Centre of Tasmania - Australian Services Union Industrial Agreement 20031 (the original agreement).

[2] At the hearing on 29 November 2004, Ms J Fitzgerald with Ms E Beecroft represented The Working Women's Centre of Tasmania Inc. Mr I Paterson represented the Australian Municipal, Administrative, Clerical and Services Union.

[3] The parties advised that the application sought to vary;

  • Part III WAGES AND RELATED MATTERS, Clause 10. Wages and Classifications; and
  • Part VII CONSULTATION PROCEDURES AND DISPUTES RESOLUTION, Clause 30. Employee Development System.

[4] I am satisfied that the variations to the agreement are consistent with both the Wage Fixing Principles and the public interest requirements of the Act.

[5] Pursuant to s.59(2) the agreement will be varied operative from 1 October 2004.

[6] A consolidated order incorporating the variations is attached.
