Industrial agreement - application approved - operative date ffpp after registration for 3 years - forwarded to the Registrar for registration REASONS FOR DECISION [1] This is an application, pursuant to s.55 of the Industrial Relations Act 1984 (The Act) to approve and register an agreement to be known as the Tasman Group Services Pty Ltd Longford and Rendering Industrial Agreement 2004. [2] The parties to the agreement are the Australasian Meat Industry Employees Union, Tasmanian Branch and Tasman Group Services Pty Ltd trading as Longford Meat Company. [3] The agreement is operative from the first full pay period on or after registration and will remain in force for a period of 3 years. [4] I am satisfied that the agreement is consistent with both the Wage Fixing Principles and the public interest requirements of the Act. [5] Pursuant to s.55 (4) of the Act the agreement is approved. [6] The file will be referred to the Registrar for registration in accordance with the requirements of s.56(1) of the Act.
