(T11931 of 2005)

TASMANIAN GAMING INSPECTORS AWARD

COMMISSIONER T J ABEY

HOBART, 22 February 2005

Rescission of award - consent matter - application granted - operative date 22 February 2005

REASONS FOR DECISION

[1] On 7 February 2005, the Minister Administering the State Service Act 2000 lodged with the Registrar, pursuant to Section 32(7A), an application for the rescission of the Tasmanian Gaming Inspectors Award.

[2] Mr Baker submitted that since 1997 wage rates and conditions of employment had been regulated by s.55 Agreements, with appropriate references to other mainstream public sector awards. The most recent agreement was the Department of Treasury and Finance Compliance Inspectors Agreement 2005.1

[3] Mr Baker said that the award no longer had any application and it was appropriate that it be rescinded.

[4] Mr Di Pretoro consented to the application.

[5] Having heard the parties I am satisfied that the award no longer has any application.

[6] The application is granted and the award is rescinded from 22 February 2005.

[7] The Order reflecting this decision is attached.
