REASONS FOR DECISION
[1] This joint application was lodged, pursuant to Section 55 of the Industrial Relations Act 1984 (the Act), by Cradle Coast Water, The Community and Public Sector Union (State Public Services Federation Tasmania) and The Association of Professional Engineers, Scientists and Managers, Australia for the purpose of filing an industrial agreement with the Commission.
[2] The agreement, to be known as the Cradle Coast Water Employee Agreement No. 1 of 2005, has as its operative date, 1 September 2004 and it will remain in force until 31 August 2007.
[3] Mr J Hendriks for Cradle Coast Water and Mr R Miller, for The Community and Public Sector Union (State Public Services Federation Tasmania) and The Association of Professional Engineers, Scientists and Managers, Australia presented submissions in support of the agreement.
[4] Having considered the submission of the parties, I am satisfied the agreement should be approved as it is consistent with the Wage Fixing Principles and public interest requirements of the Act, and I decide accordingly.
[5] The file will now be referred to the Registrar in accordance with the requirements of s.56(1) of the Act.
