Enterprise Agreement - agreement approved - operative 8 December 2005 - five years

APPROVAL OF ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT

[1] On 21 November 2005, the University of Tasmania and the Liquor, Hospitality and Miscellaneous Union - Tasmanian Branch lodged with the Registrar, pursuant to s.61H of the Industrial Relations Act 1984, the University of Tasmania Child Care Centres Agreement 2005-2010.

[2] When this matter came on for hearing on 8 December 2005, Ms A Bachinger appeared for the University of Tasmania. Mr P Tullgren appeared for the Union.

[3] Mr Tullgren explained that this agreement covered superannuation and salary sacrifice arrangements. In all other respects the relevant award continued to apply.

[4] Ms A Bachinger supported the submissions of Mr Tullgren and advised that the agreement had been overwhelmingly endorsed by the employees affected.

[5] I am satisfied that all statutory requirements have been met. The agreement is approved operative from 8 December 2005 and shall remain in force for a period of five years.
