Industrial agreement - application to become party to an industrial agreement

REASONS FOR DECISION

[1] T12420 of 2005 is an application pursuant to s.59 of the Industrial Relations Act 1984 (the Act) to vary the Tasman Group Services Pty Ltd Longford Meat Company Industrial Agreement 2004 (Longford Meat agreement) to delete the current clause 3.6.1, which relates to Lamb Boning Tally arrangements, and replace it with a new clause 3.6.1 titled Revised Lamb Boning Tally.

[2] The application also seeks to insert a new provision into the Longford Meat agreement titled Abandonment of Employment.

[3] The variations are by consent of the parties to the Longford Meat agreement being:

Tasman Group Services Pty Ltd;
Compass Recruitment
Australian Meat Industry Employees Union.

[4] T12412 of 2005 is an application pursuant to s.57 of the Act to include as a party to the Longford Meat agreement Network Personnel.

[5] The application is with the consent of the original parties to the Longford Meat agreement; Tasman Group Services Pty Ltd and the Australian Meat Industry Employers Union.

[6] T12411 of 2005 is an application pursuant to s.57 of the Act to include Network Personnel as a party to the Tasman Group Services Pty Ltd Longford Meat Company Maintenance Industrial Agreement 2004 (the maintenance agreement). The application is by consent. The original parties to the maintenance agreement are Tasman Group Services Pty Ltd and the Australian Meat Industry Employers Union.

[7] T12413 of 2005 is an application pursuant to s.57 of the Act to include Network Personnel as a party to the Tasman Group Services Pty Ltd and Compass recruitment King Island Abattoir Industrial Agreement 2005 (King Island agreement).

[8] The applicant is with the consent of the parties to the King Island agreement;

[9] Tasman Group Services Pty Ltd, the Australian Meat Industry Employers Union and Compass recruitment.

[10] All of the applications were by consent.

[11] The variations were approved by the Commission as being in accord with the Commission principles and they do not offend the provisions of the Act.

[12] The variations took effect from the first full pay period on or after the date of hearing being 1 December, 2005.
