REASONS FOR DECISION

[1] This is an application, pursuant to s.55 of the Industrial Relations Act 1984 (The Act) to approve and register an agreement to be known as the Calvary Health Care Tasmania Allied Health Professionals Industrial Agreement 2006.

[2] The parties to the agreement are the Health Services Union of Australia, Tasmania No 1 Branch and Calvary Health Care Tasmania.

[3] The agreement is operative from the first full pay period on or after 23 March 2006 and will remain in force until 30 June 2007.

[4] I am satisfied that the agreement is consistent with both the Wage Fixing Principles and the public interest requirements of the Act.

[5] Pursuant to s.55 (4) of the Act the agreement is approved.

[6] The file will be referred to the Registrar for registration in accordance with the requirements of s.56(1) of the Act.
