Industrial agreement - application approved - operative date 18 March 2006 - 1 March 2009 - forwarded to Registrar for registration
REASONS FOR DECISION
[1] On 5 May 2006, the Communications, Electrical, Electronic, Energy, Information, Postal, Plumbing and Allied Services Union of Australia and Temtrol Technologies Pty Ltd lodged with the Registrar, pursuant to Section 55(2) of the Industrial Relations Act 1984, the Temtrol Technologies Certified Agreement 2006.
[2] When this matter came on for hearing on 16 May 2006, Mr K Harkins and Ms N Wells appeared for the CEPU and, with written authority, appeared for Temtrol Technologies Pty Ltd.
[3] Having heard Ms Wells I am satisfied that the agreement is consistent with both the Wage Fixing Principles and the public interest requirements of the Act, and does not disadvantage the employees concerned.
[4] Pursuant to s.55(4), the agreement is approved operative from 18 March 2006 and shall remain in force until 1 March 2009.
[5] The file will now be referred to the Registrar for registration in accordance with the requirements of Section 56(1) of the Act.
