REASONS FOR DECISION

[1] The Civil Contractors Federation - Tasmanian Branch lodged with me this application for registration as an organisation of employers on 21 April 2006.

[2] Having regard to the submissions of Mr A Granger, at a hearing convened for consideration of the application on Friday 5 May 2006, I am satisfied that the application for registration by the Civil Contractors Federation - Tasmanian Branch complies with the requirements specified in the Industrial Relations Act 1984.

[3] Accordingly, the application is granted and the Civil Contractors Federation - Tasmanian Branch is registered as an organization of employers with effect from the date of this decision.

[4] The application for registration will now be forwarded to the President for referral to a Commissioner for the purpose of making a determination of award interest.

[5] I will issue a certificate of registration pursuant to Section 64(1) following the determination by a Commissioner of award interest.
