PRESIDENT P L LEARY

HOBART, 1 August 2007

Industrial agreement - application approved - operative date 30 May 2007 to 30 June 2007 - forwarded to the Registrar for registration

REASONS FOR DECISION

[1] This is an application, pursuant to s.55 of the Industrial Relations Act 1984 (The Act) to approve and register an agreement to be known as the Tasmanian Fire Fighting Industry Employees' Enterprise Bargaining Agreement 2007.

[2] The parties to the agreement are the United Firefighters Union of Tasmania and the Minister administering the State Service Act 2000.

[3] The agreement was previously certified under the Workplace Relations Act 1996 (the Commonwealth Act) and following agreement between the parties to vacate the federal jurisdiction this application seeks registration with the Tasmanian Industrial Relations Commission.
