[2] A hearing commenced at the Edward Braddon Commonwealth Law Courts Building, 39-41 Davey Street, Hobart on Thursday 9 July 2009. [3] The agreement, to be known as the Disability Services Wages Agreement (St Giles) 2009, is to be operative from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2009 and it is to remain in force for a period of 12 months. [4] The agreement applies to all employees (whether members of a registered organisation or not) who are engaged by St Giles Society Inc. in the provision of direct support to persons with a disability within the St Giles Community Services Program. It provides for pay increases for the aforementioned employees. [5] Mr C Brown appeared for the union and Mr J O’Neill for the employer. [6] Having considered the consent submission of the parties, I am satisfied that the agreement is consistent with the Wage Fixing Principles and the public interest and no disadvantage tests required by the Act and I decide accordingly. [7] The file will now be referred to the Registrar for registration in accordance with the requirements of Section 56(1) of the Act.
