Cancellation of registration of the United Firefighters Union of Tasmania as an organization of employees

REASONS FOR DECISION

[1] This is an application by the United Firefighters Union of Tasmania for the cancellation of its registration as an organization of employees pursuant to Section 68(1A) of the Industrial Relations Act 1984.

[2] I am advised that the United Firefighters Union of Tasmania is now defunct and does not represent employees in the firefighting industry in Tasmania.

[3] Accordingly the application is granted and the registration of the United Firefighters Union of Tasmania is cancelled with immediate effect.
