REASONS FOR DECISION

This appeal was lodged by Bill Tsakiris pursuant to 70(1) of the Industrial Relations Act 1984 against an order made by Deputy President King in Matter T8445 of 1999. That matter concerned an application for a dispute hearing made by Mr Tsakiris pursuant to section 29 of the Act, regarding the termination of his employment with Denmar Pty Ltd (ACN 009 578 072), Petvic Pty Ltd (ACN 009 577 413), trading as Stokes & Hammond.

The matter was listed for hearing before the Full Bench on Tuesday, 7 September 1999. However, in correspondence dated 30 August 1999, the applicant's solicitor informed the Commission as follows:

"Please be advised that the parties to this matter have come to an agreement as to the disposition of the appeal. We are instructed to wholly discontinue the appeal, the parties having satisfactorily resolved the matter."

In view of the above and pursuant to the provisions of section 21(2)(c) of the Act, we dismiss the appeal and close the file.
