This application by the Minister for Public Administration sought the variation of nominated expense related deductions contained in the General Conditions of Service Award and the Hospital Employees (Public Hospitals) Award (details as set out in the attached schedule) by 6.82 per cent; being the movement in the eight capital cities consumer price index for the twelve months ended March 1989.

The nominated allowances have been adjusted in the manner requested, by the Commission as variously constituted on previous occasions.

On this occasion the allowances will again be adjusted upwards by 6.82 per cent operative from the date of this decision.

Orders will issue in due course.
