REASONS FOR DECISION

This application was lodged by the Australian Mines and Metals Association (Incorporated) (the Association) pursuant to section 65A of the Industrial Relations Act 1984 for leave to recall the Association's certificate of registration on the grounds that they no longer have an interest in the Retail Trades Award.

This was brought about by of the making of the Metal and Engineering Industry Award1 and the Metal and Engineering On-Site Construction Industry Award2.

That being the case I am prepared to endorse the submission of the applicant and recommend to the Registrar that their certificate of registration be recalled and reissued deleting the Retail Trades Award from that certificate.

The Order giving effect to this decision is attached and will be operative from 18 June 1992.
