Award variation - parties and persons bound

REASONS FOR DECISION

Subsequent to the determination of interest of the Australian Municipal, Transport, Energy, Water, Port, Community and Information Services Union, Tasmanian Branch (ASU) in the Community Services Award¹, application was made by the ASU to vary Clause 5 - Parties and Persons Bound, of that award.

The variation is requested to be made as a consequence of:

(i) the cancellation of registration of the Australian Social Welfare Union, Tasmanian Branch², and

(ii) the registration of interest of the ASU³, and

(iii) the determination of interest of the ASU in the Community Services Award⁴.

In all of the circumstances the award will be varied in the manner requested. Also reference to the Australian Social Welfare Union, Tasmanian Branch will be deleted from the award.

The operative date for these variations is 11 May 1993. The order is attached.
