THE SOCIETY FOR MULTIPLY DISABLED PEOPLE OF TASMANIA INCORPORATED SALARY PACKAGING AGREEMENT 2004

COMMISSIONER T J ABEY

HOBART, 16 July 2004

Variation of Registered Industrial Agreement T11360 of 2004 - application approved - operative date 14/7/04

REASONS FOR DECISION

[1] This application was lodged by the Health Services Union of Australia, Tasmania No 1 Branch (HSUA) and The Society for Multiply Disabled People of Tasmania Incorporated, pursuant to Section 59 of the Industrial Relations Act 1984, for a variation to The Society For Multiply Disabled People Of Tasmania Incorporated Salary Packaging Agreement 20041 (the original agreement).

[2] At the hearing in Ulverstone on 14 July 2004, Mr R Moore and Mr S Littler represented the HSUA. Mrs M Subonj represented the employer.

[3] Mr Moore explained that the purpose of the variation was to delete reference to specific monetary limits and substitute reference to the limits allowable under the relevant Commonwealth legislation.

[4] Mrs Subonj indicated consent to the variation.

[5] I am satisfied that the agreement is consistent with both the Wage Fixing Principles and the public interest requirements of the Act.

[6] Pursuant to s.59(2) of the Act, the variation to the agreement is approved operative from 14 July 2004.

[7] An Order giving effect to the variation is attached.
