Variation of registered industrial agreement T12442 of 2005 - application approved - operative 31 December 2005 - shall remain in force until 30 December 2008 REASONS FOR DECISION [1] On 9 May 2006, the Tasmanian Catholic Education Employees' Association (the TCEEA) and the Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Limited (on behalf of the employers) (the TCCI), lodged with the Registrar, pursuant to Section 59 of the Industrial Relations Act 1984, an application to vary the Tasmanian Catholic Education Salaries, Allowances and Conditions Industrial Agreement 2005.1 [2] When this matter came on for hearing on 19 May 2006, Ms A Briant and Mr D Ottavi appeared for the TCEEA and Ms A Millhouse for the TCCI with Sr M Kelly. [3] The parties advised that the application sought to vary salaries and conditions contained within the agreement, and submitted a consolidated agreement with an operative date of 31 December 2005 and shall remain in force until 30 December 2008. [4] I am satisfied that the consolidated agreement is consistent with both the Wage Fixing Principles and the public interest requirements of the Act. [5] Pursuant to s.59(2) of the Act, the agreement is varied in the manner sought from 19 May 2006, and a consolidated document is issued to the parties.
