TASMANIAN INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION

Industrial Relations Act 1984
s.23 application for award or award variation

The Association of Professional Engineers, Scientists and Managers, Australia
(T.5106 of 1994)

METAL AND ENGINEERING INDUSTRY AWARD

COMMISSIONER P A IMLACH

24 June 1994

Award variation - parties and persons bound - insertion of The Association of Professional Engineers, Scientists and Managers, Australia

REASONS FOR DECISION

This was an application under Section 23 of the Act by The Association of Professional Engineers, Scientists and Managers, Australia (the Association) for an amendment to be made to the Metal and Engineering Industry Award (the Award).

The Association sought to have its name included in the parties and persons bound clause of the Award.

As the Association pointed out, this was a procedural matter really in that, following the approval of the registration of the Association by the Registrar on 25 May 19941, and the Association being granted interest in the Award on 10 June 19942, the amendment now sought merely to reflect those decisions in the Award.

I endorse the application; the Award will be amended to operate from 23 June 1994.

An order is attached.
